Waiting for Santa

We hope all of our four and two-legged friends had a wonderful Christmas!! We did! We both got a new rawhide to chew on! But Mom sneaks them away from us just when they're getting good--she's afraid we'll swallow them. Remy and I eat rocks all the time--and she's worried about rawhide. Jeez.

On Christmas eve . . .
I waited ever so patiently for Santa to come down the chimney.
Aubree tried to trick me and popped out from behind the tree!

What the heck? Does she think I don't know what Santa looks like? I mean, he finds his way to every house all over the world in record time--that means he has to be smart.
He must be a poodle!

We couldn't wait anymore. We fell asleep on the couch. Darn!

I missed Santa again! Maybe next year . . .

Rocks don't belong in the pool . . .

We've been really busy getting ready for Christmas. Well, we haven't been so busy, but Mom sure has. She hasn't even had time to help us on the blog. She said she feels bad about that.

Anyway, yesterday we went outside with Mom while she cleaned the leaves and stuff out of the pool. Right away, Mom said, "There are rocks in the pool again!!"
"Yep, there sure are! Lots!"

"Want me to find out who did it, Mom?"

"Remy, did you put the rocks in the pool?"

Remy said, "La-dee-da . . . looks like a nice day out . . . la-dee-da . . . "

Ippuni said, "Don't look at me, Luc! I don't eat rocks like you morons do. Poodles are smart, yeah right."

Aubree said, "Hey, don't ask me! I have to help clean the rocks out--why would I do that?"

Now tell me, who do you think put the rocks in the pool?

I sure covered it well by asking everyone else though, didn't I? hee hee.

Kiss the Company Goodbye

Mom and Dad had some people over today for desserts and games. They had fun. We didn't. I kept getting too excited with all the people here. I just wanted to kiss all of them!! So, Mom kept putting us outside. Bummer.

I'm kinda sad.

Remy was teasing me, "Awww, Luc is sad--such a shame."

Then he said, "You made us stay outside all day because you were licking everyone a million times!" And he imitated me and kept sticking his tongue out!

When I'm not so tired tomorrow, we'll see who gets licked--if you know what I mean.

We Smell Good!

We got groomed yesterday. I think we groom ourselves everyday by licking ourselves and each other but I guess Mom doesn't think that counts.

Anyway, we went to our favorite place, the best doggie bed and breakfast around, and saw our favorite groomer, Rhonda. She's really nice. Mom told her to do the "lamb" cut for the holidays. What??? We're poodles, not lambs. Sometimes I wonder about Mom. Whatev. Maybe there's a lamboodle out there somewhere. Heh heh--jeez, I crack myself up sometimes.

She told us the day before that we were going. But we pretended like we didn't know what she was talking about. Luc said, "Uh oh, I think she said we're going to the groomers." I said, "No, she said Luc has a tumor." He was freaked out all day. Again--I am too much.

So, yesterday morning Mom said the word, "GO," and whoosh, we were at the door in a second.

"Where are we going, Mom?"

"Oh man, I hope this doesn't involve my tumor."

We're going in Dad's car!

I like to look out the window.

This is what I saw. Cool, huh?

All in all, we had a good day. Like I said, they're really nice at the groomers. I think they like us. I mean really, how could they not? Cool dudes like us and all.

Here are our new do's!

Luc has some mega ears, doesn't he? Is it just me or does this haircut make his nose look bigger?

Golly, I'm handsome.

Oh yeah! Did I mention Ippuni went, too? Here are his before and after pictures.

He called shotgun. Lucky dog.

I know, he's cute. Whatev.

Cocka-doodle-do!

Today Mom was telling us how very handsome, cute, sweet, well-behaved and just generally awesome we are, again, and we were just soaking it up and lovin' life.

" I'm awesome, Mom?"

"I'm more awesome than Luc, Mom?"

And then Mom said that if we didn't believe her, just think about this: poodles must be awesome or else why would they breed them with so many other dog breeds? She told us about cockapoos, maltipoos (OMG! what self-respecting poodle would . . . nevermind), schnoodles (like our friend, Bailey), pugapoos, yorkiepoos, westiepoos, poochis, labradoodles, golden doodles, and even a saint bernadoodle! She said poodles have such wonderful qualities that they've mixed them with just about every dog breed you can think of! She even told us about a dog who was a cocker spaniel/poodle/doberman mix called a "cocka-doodle-do!" Luc got so tickled at that name that he coughed up his rock he was carrying in his mouth from the back yard.
Then Mom told us we are so goofy and she can't understand why we eat rocks. Ahhhh, just another day in the life of two awesome poodles.

Pillow Talk

Mom gave us these really cool toys to play with today! We don't get too many toys because we destroy them in a matter of minutes. Mom thought she had tried everything! Then, she was talking to her friend, Zona Baby, and she said she gave her dog, Nikki, a pillow case tied in the center. She said it's soft like a cuddly toy, strong and has the knot in the center to chew on. Zona said Mom should try that for us. So, she did!

This is Luc trying a bite of it.

Mom gave me the blue one.

But I wanted Luc's.

Luc ran! He was having a great time with the green one!

This is me saying, "Mommy, can I have
the green one?" See the tear in my eye?

This is Luc saying, "But I had it first."

This is me with the blue one. Look at that sad face. I didn't really
care but I sure can act, can't I?? We all know I could
get the green one from Luc anytime I want.

Whatchu talkin' bout, Remy?

It was another warm day in Georgia! Remy and I spent some time playing outside.

This is me after playing hard! I was tired!

This is Remy after playing hard.
Then he said, "Hey, Luc. Why don't
you come sit by the pool with me?"

"Whatchu talkin' bout, Remy?"
I know his tricks--he wanted to push me in the pool again. I didn't go. I just stayed far over in the grass, thank you very much.

Hide and Seek

Mom was busy cleaning today and we don't like the vacuum so we asked to go outside. This is my "Mom, can we ppppllleeeeaaaassssseeee go outside?" look.
Remy wasn't sure it was working so he pushed me out of the way to do his "please, can we, huh??" look. I guess his worked.

We got to stay outside for a long time. We had so much fun chewing off the stalk of some kind of plant. Then we chased each other around the yard with the stalk.

Then, when it was time to come in, Remy and I decided to play hide and seek with Mom. We love that game. She comes out in the backyard to tell us it's time to come in and we hide. We just know she can't see us.

This is me hiding.

This is Remy hiding. He's good, isn't he?

This is Ippuni policing the area. We know he doesn't see us--he doesn't see too well. That, and he's not too smart. Did I say that??
Next time we'll show you how we act like lazy lions when it's time to come in! Mom REALLY loves that game.

It's Internet-at-last-ic!

Our Internet hasn't been working. Well, it works, then it doesn't, then it works, then it doesn't. Mom gets really frustrated. We were happy to have a few days off. With all the modelling we do for the camera . . . sheesh! Even a poodle needs a break from the spotlight!

Mom called the cable company today whose name rhymes with "hold fast" and "at last." She said they told her they were working in the area to fix the problems we so often have. Mom had to use her patient face. I think it's kind of like when it's raining outside and Mom says the word "wait" to us when it's time to go in. We have to wait at the door to get our feet wiped. It's not easy to wait. Even for Mom, apparently.

Here I am waiting at the computer to do our blog.

Even Ippuni is missing the blog. I think he likes to see himself on the computer, although I'm not so sure he knows it's himself he sees. After all, he growls when he sees himself in the door pane. Jeez. And when he stands up on Mom's leg and she says, "Ippuni, get down," he dances. Not really, just kiddin' with ya!

Here's Luc waiting for the Internet to work. I think he wants to write the blog today.

But look who was the MOST patient. ME! The Remster.

You dogs lay low now, ya hear?

The Toy Tree

We got in trouble today. Mom finished all the decorating this afternoon. We thought that meant we could take toys from the toy tree. This is what happened.

I was minding my own business taking a little nap on the couch. I had both blankies and I was out like a light.

Remy, on the other hand, was busy with a toy he took from the toy tree. By the way, look at the strange way my brother sits! His back legs are up on his front legs! Jeez, he can be goofy.

Anyway, like I said, I was minding my own business and the next thing I know I'm getting scolded. HUH???

REMY!!! He planted a toy on me!

We were both told "NO!" For some reason, Remy listened. He played the "I'm so cute and such a good boy" card.

And then I discovered the reason . . . Mom moved the blankies on the couch and look what was there. REMYYYYY!! Guess who got in trouble for that, too??!! Yip, he is one sly dog.

Well, Mom left the room to do some vacuuming or something and I decided since I'd been in trouble for doing nothing I may as well try out the toy tree. I chose a really cute stuffed teddy bear. It had writing on it that said, "Hooray! Yvette is 40 today! 2002" Well, I love Miss Yvette!! She was here at Christmas-time last year! What a good choice I made. So, I sat down to get a better look at the teddy . . .

and in came MOM.

I got scolded again. I think putting the gate around the tree was mentioned. So, I went back to minding my own business . . . at least for now.
