Merry Christmas!

Hello friends! We've been gone for a few months. Mom had surgery in early October but she's doing fine. We've missed you guys!

Since we knew Mom was feeling better, we started to bug her about blogging again. Here we are waiting in the office for her to get on the computer!!

Hello??? We're waiting!

We even got a bath and had our hair brushed for Christmas so I must say, we're looking pretty good. Don't you think so?

Me with my Christmas scarf

Mom said she's going to try hard to catch up on all your blogs this week. We can't wait to see what you dogs, cats and hammies have been up to.

Merry Christmas poodle licks to you!!

Gecko!!

Yesterday I was sitting next to Mom while she was working on the computer and guess what I saw?? A gecko was on the window!! He was between the screen and the glass. Mom said he didn't know how to get out. I decided I could help with that.

Remy wasn't quite as interested in helping--he was mostly watching me do all the work. Even Ippuni was helping me bark at him! Then Mom decided I was scaring the "poor little guy" to death so she made us leave the room. He eventually found his way out.

We looked for him outside but he was long gone. I guess maybe his friend picked him up in that little red sports car they drive. Darn.

We tried not to laugh . . .

The funniest thing happened yesterday. Ippuni was walking outside and Luc and I saw a squirrel we wanted to chase. We had to hurry so we flew by Ippuni only to knock him right into the pool!! Luckily, Mom was outside and rescued Ippuni.

Mom said we needed to be more careful of our little brother. Well, okay.

We came inside and while Mom was drying Ippuni off, we went over to sit quietly on the couch.

Quietly, yeah right! We laughed our heads off!!!

By the way, we want to say a big hello to our friend, Therese, in Florida! Thanks for reading our blog!

note from Mom: I had to scan this picture so it's a little small--hope you can see it.

Goofy Remy

We played hard today. We ran around the yard and played with our two-legged sister. She's fun! Later, we were hanging out in Mom and Dad's room and Remy decided to be goofy. Well, I don't think he decided, I think he was just born goofy.

Hey Luc, you wanna play again?

How about hide and seek this time???

What? Oh my dog, you're crazy Remy! (See me trying not to smile?)

No thanks, Remy, I'm resting with Aubree.

Remy fell asleep chewing his toy. Goofy dog.

Napping with Dad

Dad was really busy today. He got tired so he decided to take a little nap. Luc and I LOVE naps! So, when Dad left the bedroom door open a tiny bit, I decided that was an invitation for me to nap with him!

See how I shared part of the bed with Dad?

I was soooo comfy . . . just me and Dad, takin' a nap . . .

I was out like a light!

But as you can see, Mom caught me. She said, "Remy, you know you're not supposed to be on the bed!" What?? I most definitely AM supposed to be on the bed--I'm a poodle, after all. She must have missed that part of the poodle handbook.

Poodles are the super models of dogs (no disrespect to you other lovely dogs--I'm just stating the facts) and we need our beauty sleep on a comfy bed!

Gee whiz, Mom. Get with the poodle program, would you?

Good-bye Teddy

Today is a sad day. Teddy, the hamster, died today. He was a good friend. Well, for our two-legged sister. Not so much for us. We sort of wanted to taste him. He was cute though, huh?

Our two-legged siblings go back to school tomorrow. Mom says we should have more time to blog. So, we'll be seeing you!

Puppy-sitting

We're babysitting for a puppy. His name is Dale. He's our two-legged brother's friend's dog. He is a six-month old chocolate lab. He's cute and sort of fun . . . and sort of annoying. Mom says we used to be crazy like him when we were puppies. We're not sure we believe that.

Remy hasn't been as welcoming as he should be, Mom says. (He bites his ears.) Ippuni has also forgotten his manners with Dale. I am the only one watching my poodle manners, of course. Wouldn't you have guessed that?

Did I mention he's a BIG puppy?

With a BIG tongue?

I told him we were putting him on our blog. He said, " Huh?? Blog? What's dat?"

Here's his happy face after we told him. He wanted a close-up on the blog.

Okay, see you guys later. We're tired. This puppy sitting is hard work.

We'd like to thank . . .

Our good poodle friend, T-Man (see his link under our friends list--Precious Poodle), nominated us for an award!! This is even after we've been MIA for a few weeks. We're so honored and thankful T-Man! And, we think this has inspired Mom to let us get back to blogging! We've all been doing lots of nothing all summer.

Here are the details of the award: 'This award was created to be given to bloggers who inspire others with their creativity and their talents, also for contributing to the blogging world in whatever medium. When you receive this award it is considered a special honor." (Extracted from Origin, Sen-Chan & Tom)

Our Modeling Debut

Today we were watching a t.v. show with Mom. It was all about modeling. Luc and I decided we could make those model faces and poses, too!

Here's Luc trying to look serious.

Here's me, pretending to look off in the distance.

I've got the head tilt down, don't I? Look at my eyelashes and the way I can pout!

Okay, this is the sideways glance look--the best one, don't you think?

Look for me in the next issue of G-Poo Magazine . . .

Ty is sick . . .

Today is Father's Day! We're all just hanging around the house today. Dad is taking it easy, for once. (He likes to be busy!)

The bad news is that our two-legged brother, Tyler, is sick! He has a high fever and is very achy. I don't like when my family is sick and I feel it's my job to make them feel better. So, when Ty went outside for a few minutes, I had to make sure he was okay.

So I climbed up on the hammock with him and sent him "feel better" vibes . . .

Mom, do you think he feels better yet?

I hope you all are having a good Father's Day!

Our cousin is now put back.

Happy Friday the 13th!!

We have a little relative we want to share with you! She's Mom's nephew's daughter--Mom said she is our cousin once removed. Well, we're here today to put her back!!! She doesn't live near us but she visits us every summer and we like to take food out of her hands. We get in trouble for that. But geez, Mom, the food is right there at just the right height of our mouths!

She's three years old and she has beautiful curly hair--just like us!

Anyway, she loves to read our blog with her Grandma (Mom's sister and our Aunt Bonni). We wanted to put her picture on our blog today to surprise her so here she is!!

This is Emili -- isn't she cute??

Hi Emili! We miss you and can't wait to lick your cute face!

Remy's very boring day . . .

Mom took Luc and Ippuni to the vet today. Luc has an infection on his nose and had to get an antibiotic and Ippuni was scratching himself like crazy. He got some medicine, too.

I had to stay home. And, I was bored. Really bored. Here's what I did.

What did YOU do today??

Little Ippuni

It's HOT here in Georgia this weekend. It's going to be 100 degrees today and tomorrow. Mom says we can't stay outside for long periods of time. That's okay, Mom, we don't want to!!

We thought we'd tell you a little about our older "little" brother today because we think some of you wonder why he's not in our blog more. Well, he really doesn't want to be. He doesn't like getting his picture taken (he hangs his head and acts like he's in trouble unless Mom is sneaky about it!). He's getting rather elderly and he can't see very well and doesn't hear all that well, either. (The better to sneak up on!) He doesn't like playing with toys. He really only likes to sit next to Mom and sleep. He does still do his police duty of enforcing the "no running in the house" rule and tries to warn anyone who comes into our house to "go away!" But mostly, he just likes to rest.

We do tease him (especially Remy) but Mom protects him and doesn't let us do what we'd really like (bite his tail). Sometimes Remy does get a nip in now and then but believe me, Ippuni can hold his own! We never bother him when he's resting, only when he gets all bossy on us.

Mom says to be nice to him and that we'll be old dogs one day, too. Okay, you can take a rest today, Ippuni. We'll leave you alone . . . mostly.

Ippuni is so cool--he can sleep standing up!

We hope you stay cool today!!

New toys

Guess what? Mom surprised us with new toys today--one for each of us!! Remy loves the squeaker. It kind of gets on my nerves . . . which I'm quite sure is the reason Remy loves it. Here's a video Mom took of me looking for my toy. I wanted the one Remy had, of course.

Who's got the toy?

Happy Sunday, cool cats, dogs and hammies! Luc and I were outside for a while today, just hanging out in the sunshine. I was getting kind of bored . . .

Hey, wanna have some fun with Luc?

Here he is, not suspecting a thing.

When Mom called us to come inside, I hid behind the chair by the door. Do you see me?

I came out just as Luc came to the door . . . and grabbed his favorite toy!

Oh, I seem to have an itch (not really, that's part of the game).

HA! Nice try, Luc. You're way to slow.

Oh, is this what you wanted?? Got him again!

Uh oh, here's the sad face to Mom. I wanted the toy and Remy always gets it . . . waa, waa!

I gave it to Luc. I don't really care about the dumb toy--I just LOVE teasing Luc!

Then we came inside and Mom gave us both a treat. See how good we are when we're waiting for a treat?

I hope you all have a brother or sister to tease like that. I'm lucky--I have Luc AND Ippuni. Ahhh, there's nothing better!

Waiting by the phone . . .

Dad left for a business trip today. We don't like it when he goes away. I don't think Mom likes it either. She says he'll be back in a few days.

When Dad left today, I heard him tell Mom he would call tonight. So, I decided to wait by the phone.

Dad, where are you?

Memorial Day

Mom told us about Memorial Day and what it means to all of us. She told us that we should spend some time this weekend thinking about all the men and women who have served and are still serving our country. She talked about how important it is to take a few moments to reflect on it and say our thanks.

Here's Remy being thoughtful and saying his thanks.

Here's Ippuni--he was thinking hard. I think he was wishing Remy and I would go serve our country . . . in some other country.

Here I am doing my thinking and saying my thanks.

Okay, okay, so I got sleepy doing all that thinking.

We hope all of you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and get some time to reflect . . . and nap!

Big Bank Treats!

Hi friends! Today Mom took us with her to the bank. We love going to the bank even more than going to Starbucks because the bank gives HUGE milk bones!!

Here I am--looking forward to my big treat!

Here's Luc--he's probably thinking he's going to try to steal my treat.

Here it is!!! I told you it was big!

"Hey Luc, move your big butt! You're taking up the whole seat!"

Mom made Luc move. Here we are not speaking. He didn't get my treat either. So there.

Gecko Hunting

Hey! It's me, Luc! Yesterday Remy told you what his favorite pastime is so I wanted to tell you mine today. It's . . . gecko hunting!!!

Can you see me? I can hide as good as Girl Girl hammie, huh?

Oh, I've almost got him!!! See my head buried right in the middle of that bush??

Uh oh! Mom's calling me . . . darn! That tail of mine always gives me away.

Doesn't gecko hunting look fun? Mom doesn't like it much because sometimes I get too excited playing with the geckos and I hurt them. She says they keep the bugs away and they're cute. Huh? I didn't know that. I thought they were looking for a better price on car insurance.
