Mom got coffee and all I got was the cup

We went to Starbucks today. We love Starbucks because they give out great dog treats! Mom loves the pumpkin spice mocha cappuccino latte decaf soy espresso . . . or whatever it is she gets! I just get confused.

Anyway, we got our treats and headed home. Mom had her coffee . . . and I had the cup!!

First, I quietly took it off the coffee table.
(I guess that's why Mom puts the coffee on that table since that's what it's called.)

Then I tiptoed into Mom's room (see me tiptoe??)

Oh man! Remy heard me! He tried to take it, but I was too fast for him!

Boy that cup was good! Coffee-flavored cup--my favorite!

Remy got the lid. I don't think it had the same flavor as the cup.
Oh well, gotta be faster next time, Rem!

Poodles know fashion . . .

Hi there!! It's me, Remy. Luc wrote the blog a lot when I wasn't feeling so great so it's my turn. By the way, I'm fine now. Mom thinks that sometimes I play too rough and pinch a nerve or get some inflammation going on. Now that we know the steroids work, we're all set in case it happens again.

Today Mom said she needs a new hairstyle. She said she "needs something different." I suggested the "poodle do" but she said she just didn't have the right kind of hair for that. Too bad, that would have been awesome.

Luc said he liked her hair just the way it is. You know Luc, "Mr. Suck-up."

Mom, you look great just the way you are!

Luc, tell her the truth! Say it!
See Ippuni in the background? Even he was staying out of it!

I decided to help and look through some hairstyle magazines.

Reluctantly, Luc did, too.

Mom, how about this one?

Mom said she hasn't decided yet but she really appreciated all the help. Who better to ask than a fashion-plate poodle??

Getting clean is tiring . . .

I'm back! Thanks, guys, for all your concern when I wasn't feeling good. I'm feeling fine now. In fact, Luc and I were wrestling around outside yesterday! It made Mom nervous but I'm fine. A dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do, you know?

We had a pretty tiring day. We got baths and got trimmed up a bit. We're pretty fluffy! Our two-legged brother, Tyler, doesn't like when we get all poofy--he says we're boys and we should look more macho. Mom says we're poodles and that's what poodles are supposed to look like--she says it's part of our charm. And I thought it was just my winning personality . . .

Anyway, we were really tired tonight and we stretched out on our beds . . . I mean the couch.

We hope you good dogs, cats and hammies are all comfy in your beds. Goodnight!

Remy is back!

This is just a quick note to tell you that Remy is doing great! The prednisone that the vet (Dr. Frank) prescribed is working!! Mom is guessing it was a pinched nerve. Remy seems his old self today and his happy face is back. That means my happy face is back, too.

Thank all of you so much for showing your concern for Remy. You cats, hammies and dogs with blogs are really awesome.

Poor Remy

See my very sad and bored face?

Remy went back to the doctor today because he's still crying--something is hurting him and Mom and the vet can't figure out what it is. Mom said the vet gave Remy new medicine today and she's hoping that will help. Remy is sad. So is everyone else in the family. So am I. We all feel bad for Remy. And, I'm bored. Remy doesn't want to play. At least he's moving around more . . . but he's still not my normal, goofy brother.

Doesn't he look so sad?

Remy missed the snow . . .

Hi Fur-friends! Sorry we've been gone for awhile--did you miss us? Mom's been busy but she promises she'll be available to help us blog from now on. But, it was kind of nice not to have that camera flashing in my face all the time.

Remy was at the vet this evening. He's limping again and seems to be in pain. This happens to him every few months. He'll barely even walk and won't eat. The vet has taken x-rays and can never find anything wrong. Then after a day or two he's back to normal. We're all baffled by it.

Guess what happened tonight?? It SNOWED in Georgia! I've never seen snow but it didn't impress me too much. Maybe if it had stuck to the ground so I could play in it, I would have liked it. Mom says that probably won't happen any time soon.

Can you seee me back by the fence?

Look at the snow!

Ippuni didn't think much of it either. Mom says when our family lived in Maryland
(before Remy and I were born), Ippuni would refuse to go out in the snow.
I guess he's too low to the ground, huh?

Can you see the little snowflake right above the my nose?

I'm going to go check on my brother. He's on pain meds so he's kind of out of it. I'm feeling bad for him.

Frustrated

Mom was busy tonight. She said she was registering Tyler for the SAT. She kept having to retype some things because of some problem on the web site. She was frustrated. So was I, as you'll see in this video.

Personally, I think I was being very patient, don't you? Jeez Mom, when a guy's gotta go, a guy's gotta go!

Hammies in the House

Today we're going to introduce you to our little hammie brothers. Girl Girl saw our blog and said she would like to meet them so we thought that was a good idea. Here they are, Girl Girl!

Ralph is a dwarf hamster--he's kind of the family hammie. He can run in his ball like nobody's business! In fact, he went to the hamster races and he would most certainly have won had he not gone the wrong way! Goofy hamster.

He was excited to be on the blog! He wanted to write it!

Mom put him back in his house. He was saying, "But wait! I didn't finish the blog!" hee hee

This is Teddy, the Teddy Bear Hamster. He belongs to Aubree. Kind of cute, huh?

Here he is in Aubree's shoe.

So, what do you think? We think Teddy is more handsome but we think Ralph probably tastes . . . ahem . . . smells better.

Our Beginnings

Mom was cleaning out some files and folders and she found our puppy pictures that our first two-legged mommy took of us and our parents, brothers and sister. We. were. so. cute. Mom still talks to our first mommy, Patti, and now and then we get to visit her. We get so excited to see her even though we left her home when we were just little guys! We like seeing our fur-parents, Archie and Samantha, too.

We often see our brothers from our litter and the second litter our fur parents had around town. There were seven of us born in the first litter and eight in the second litter! Anyway, look at these pictures of total cuteness.

Here we are at one week old.

Remy

Luc

Let us out!! Luc is right there in front and I'm on the right, in the front.

Our fur-mom.

Our fur-dad. Pretty impressive, huh?

We'll show you more of those pictures another time. Mom said we're going to call Patti soon and visit! We'll be sure to take the camera!

Happy New Year Video!

Happy New Year, everyone!!

Our Dad keeps saying "Have a great 08!" Luc and I came up with a better one, though. "Don't be hatin' in 08-in!" Cool, huh? We learned that stuff from our two-legged brothers.

Now to ring in the new year, I am going to appear in person!!! Sort of, kind of. Mom got a flip cam for her Christmas present and she recorded me. She has been working on editing so you'll have to judge how she did.

Here's a short video of me, Remy, doing one of my favorite things in the world--biting Ippuni's tail. Ahhhh, it's good to know some things continue even in the new year . . .

Now on the video you can hear Mom telling me "to get" Ippuni--I was so happy! She finally understands the game! But, she was just doing that for the camera, she later gave Ippuni lots of kisses for me being "not nice" to him. Go figure.

Can you tell I like the camera? I personally think I'm a natural.
